DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 2, 2002) - NASCAR officials announced today that Robert Bakeeff, crew chief of the No. 19 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division, has been fined $1,000 for a rule violation discovered during post-qualifying inspection at Sunday's GNC Live Well 250 at The Milwaukee Mile in West Allis, Wis.

Bakeeff was penalized under Section 12-4-Q in the 2002 NASCAR Busch Series rule book,"Any determination by NASCAR Officials that parts and/or equipment used in the Event do not conform to NASCAR rules."

Officials found an unapproved front spring in the car, after the team's qualifying attempt.
