LINDSAY FELLOWS TO SING CANADIAN NATIONAL ANTHEM AT THE GLEN EDWIN McCAIN TO PERFORM U.S. NATIONAL ANTHEM FOR LYSOL 200

Watkins Glen, NY (June 21, 1999) - Watkins Glen International announced today that Lindsay Fellows, daughter of Lysol 200 defending champion Ron Fellows, will be singing the Canadian National Anthem prior to the start of the June 27th NASCAR Busch Series event at Watkins Glen. Lindsay, from Oakville, Ontario, is the 14 yr. old daughter of Ron and Lynda Fellows and will be performing at Watkins Glen for the first time. Sunday will also mark the first time Lindsay has performed prior to watching her Dad take the green flag in a NASCAR event. "I am excited and honored to perform the Canadian National Anthem at The Glen," said Lindsay. "It's really special for Dad and I to have the opportunity to bring together my love of singing and his love of racing! It's going to be a great weekend for my whole family." Ron Fellows, a winner of multiple events at Watkins Glen, will be driving for NEMCO Motorsports and attempting to sweep both races over the weekend. He will be driving the No. 87 Bell South Mobility Chevrolet in the Lysol 200 and the No. 87 AER Manufacturing Chevrolet in the Bully Hill Vineyards 150. Fellows, winner of the '97 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Watkins Glen, has become a familiar name in Victory Circle. He has wins at Watkins Glen in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, the NASCAR Busch Series, the Trans-Am Series, and qualified on the outside pole for last year's NASCAR Winston Cup race. "Watkins Glen has been a good track for me," said Fellows. "Watching Lindsay perform will make the day even more special. I just hope I can race as well as she can sing!" Lindsay Fellows attends Saint Mildred's Lightbourn school. She has performed in several productions and is currently studying voice. Following Lindsay's performance will be national recording artist Edwin McCain singing the United States National Anthem. McCain will be performing at Watkins Glen Saturday evening, June 26. Edwin McCain has become a NASCAR fan since he performed for the record crowd at this year's Daytona 500. McCain has enjoyed popular success with the song "SOLITUDE" and his hit single, "I'LL BE" has dominated the popular music charts for nearly a year. "I'LL BE" was featured on the popular television show, "Dawson's Creek", and became a Top 5 hit. Edwin McCain's new single "I COULD NOT ASK FOR MORE" is already a Top 20 hit and was recently performed on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Single day tickets are available for Friday at $15.00 and Saturday for $20.00. Full weekend general admission tickets can be had for only $50.00 For ticket, camping, or additional information contact the Watkins Glen ticket office at 607-535-2481 or log on to the official Watkins Glen web site at www.theglen.com .
