Stacy Compton Quotes
On Nashville: "We've got a good package for Nashville, and it's a great place for us to get out of our little slump. It's a real fast speedway were you can create speed at the exit of the corners. If you can get back on the throttle early in the corner, you're going to be fast going down the straightaway. It's the kind of track where we always seem to be at our best."
On the season: "We lost an engine at California and we got involved in a crash at Las Vegas. Then we had some overheating problems that eventually broke the engine at Atlanta. I'm telling you, I don't know what's going on. It's pretty frustrating. We need to turn this luck around; I know that. It sure is aggravating. We've had good race cars all year and we haven't been able to prove it."
Crew Chief Chris Rice Quote
On Nashville: "We've had trouble in three consecutive races, so we've got our backs against the wall. The best thing is we've had good cars every week. We just need a little luck. We're going to Nashville with the attitude to make our own luck. We've got plenty of horsepower, the cars are fast and Stacy is doing a tremendous job. We're learning new things on our Fords every week, and we have a good package for Nashville -- something that will help Stacy attack the track. We're not going to sit back and wait for things to turn around, we're going to make our own good luck. We're going to be all right."
