Nashville Superspeedway -- April 13, 2002
Scott Riggs On Nashville: Scott Riggs, driver of the No. 10 Nestle Nesquik Ford Taurus and Raybestos® Rookie Contender is looking forward to his first Busch Series start at Nashville Superspeedway.
"Returning to a track where I won in the Craftsman Truck Series will definitely be a good confidence booster, " said Riggs. "Heading back to Nashville with the Nesquik Racing Team behind me, well, let's just say I hope Nashville will be as good to me this time."
Live from Nashville Superspeedway Victory Lane-- Scott Riggs: Riggs took home the Gibson Guitar, Les Paul Edition when he attained his fourth win of the 2001 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. He took the checkered flag at the Federated Auto Parts 200 on August 10, 2001.
Equipment: The Nesquik Racing Team is taking the same car to Nashville Superspeedway that Riggs took the pole with in Bristol earlier this year; he finished ninth. This is the same car that Jeff Green dominated the fall Rockingham race with in 2001, leading 118 of the 197 laps. In addition to Bristol and Rockingham ('01), this car competed last year at Nashville (outside pole, led 51 laps, finished 8th), Kentucky (outside pole, led 69 laps before getting involved in an accident) and St. Louis (qualified 3rd, finished 5th).
Crew Chief, Harold Holly, feels his team is 'stacked' for Nashville: Holly has a proven team and a proven driver.
"With Scott's driving style and this team's never quit attitude, we are looking for a win in Nashville," said Holly. "Scott won the Nashville event in the #2 ASE Truck last year, so we know that he knows where to turn left. The Nesquik Racing Team had a good car here last year and we were sitting on the outside of the front row but we lost a cylinder at the start of the race. We are going to put our game faces on and give Scott what he needs to get the job done with the Nesquik Ford Taurus and take that guitar home!"
