Kenny Wallace on Texas Motor Speedway....
"One of the things that I missed most about being away from the Busch Series was that I did not get to come to Nashville. The racetrack is one of the best tracks we race on because it is so competitive. I love that you can go three-wide down the front straight. The people here have done a great job, and I hope the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series will make their debut here soon.
"Nashville is also the heart of country music. There is so much history here it is amazing. I am so excited that we race here twice and am looking forward to running near the front all day long.
"This season has been full of up and downs for this Stacker 2/YJ Stinger team. We seem to run good but do not have the finishes to show for it. I am looking forward to this weekend to change our luck and get this Stacker 2/YJ Stinger Chevy up into the top 10 in points."
Kenny Wallace Happenings...
Wallace, along with other Busch Series drivers, will sign autographs at the Opryland Mall Thursday, April 8 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Wallace will also appear at the Stacker 2 Splash of Energy display on Nashville Superspeedway grounds Saturday, April 10 at noon. He will answer questions and throw out premiums to fans. Look for the Stacker 2 trailer in the midway at this weekend's race.
Get to Know Jack...One-year-old Jack Sable suffers from a chromosome disorder that affects many people in the United States. When Stacker 2 heard about Jack and his condition, it took the family under its wing. For every lap Wallace and the Stacker 2/YJ Stinger team completes this year, NVE, the parent company of Stacker 2, will donate $1 to the Sable family to help pay for Jack's medical costs. So far this season, Wallace and the Stacker 2/YJ Stinger team have earned $1,178 for the cause. "I intend on completing every lap I can for Jack Sable and the Sable family," Wallace said. "At the end of the year I would like nothing more than to have Jack and his family at our table at the banquet."
