STEVE WALLACE EARNS SECOND CAREER NASCAR BUSCH SERIES POLE

LEBANON, TN (June 9, 2007)--Nashville Superspeedway has always been one of young Steve Wallace's favorite racetracks and after today's qualifying session, the Busch Series' youngest driver has reason to like it even more. Wallace went out 21st of 44 drivers in the session and his lap of 29.753 seconds (161.288 MPH) was good enough for the 19 year-old phenom to earn his second career Busch Series pole and his second of the 2007 season. His pole was his second in five career starts at Nashville; Wallace previously won the pole for the 2006 ARCA RE/MAX Series race as well. NEXTEL Cup Series driver Clint Bowyer earned the second starting position for tonight's Busch Series race. Aric Almirola, Timothy Peters and Marcos Ambrose rounded out the top five.

Noted Wallace, "My guys really worked hard this weekend. We weren't very good in the first practice, so we went back to the drawing board and put our setup from the first race back in the car; it was a ton better after that. That run surprised everyone I think, including me. I knew our car was good, but we weren't able to get a clean qualifying run in practice; my uncle Mike (Wallace, No. 7 Chevrolet) pulled up in front of me during our mock qualifying run and killed our lap. Nonetheless, our HomeLife Communities Dodge Charger was great when it counted. I'm looking forward to running a smooth race, being there at the end and getting our first top-ten of the year tonight."
