WHAT DOES HAROLD HOLLY BRING TO THE TABLE HERE AT NASHVILLE?
"Pretty much the same thing he has everywhere, just the knowledge, the notebook as far as what the car is going to want after a run. The big thing is the key of just being here before, winning here before. He's won here with Scott Riggs and he knows the way to Victory Lane. He was telling me trends earlier while we were making race-run stuff, what the car was going to do, and sure enough 15 laps into it, it was doing it. That's the big thing that he has going that's going to help us."
"We really didn't pay attention to it because I thought they crowned the champion after 36 races. You can look at it now and say, 'Well, we're disappointed because we're not doing this and this,' but I'm right along with probably 42 other people that are saying the same thing beside the guy that is leading. It's taken the same face as it did last year. The same people were up there, and the same people that are coming from behind that are starting to come. But, it's a different animal. Different tires, different rules as far as body stuff, so little things you're still having to learn and keep up with. Once you get those figured out, I think you'll see the same normal teams running up front."
YOU'VE LED BUSCH RACES HERE, BUT YOU'VE NEVER WON HERE. WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU'RE MISSING?
"The guitar. I think last year we were really in position to do it, to win here, and I got into Todd Bodine and knocked a hole in the right-front fender and just killed the car. I really don't believe that anywhere owes you, but I think if I could just have a little bit of luck, we've always had good enough cars. I really, really love this place as far as the way the cars handle here, the way the speed is, the way you can really get after the gas early and be really aggressive. I love that type of race track and this is one of them. If I can have just a little bit of luck I think we can pull this thing off."
WITH THIS BEING THE FIRST STANDALONE BUSCH SERIES EVENT, IS IT A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD FOR ALL OF THE COMPETITIONS?
"I think the only one you're missing is Kevin Harvick; I think everyone else is here. It's like they said, it started in Daytona. I think you'll see a difference as far as seeing Busch guys outrun the more here because they don't have the extra track time, and you saw that in qualifying. They only had two hours. They didn't have two hours plus another two, plus tomorrow you get four more. I think you'll see the 8 car, the 37, the 1 and hopefully us doing our normal deal whether the 99 is here or not."
