TIM FEDEWA THE MILWAUKEE MILE JULY 4, 1999

* MILWAUKEE MILE MOMENT Fedewa captured the pole position at The Milwaukee Mile during qualifying for the Sears Auto Center 250 in 1997. Fedewa traveled the track where he cut his teeth in racing at a speed of 118.468. Fedewa has also racked up three top-10 finishes in his six career starts at The Milwaukee Mile. Fedewa first raced at The Milwaukee Mile in the American Speed Association (ASA) division. Fedewa considers The Milwaukee Mile his home track because his family and friends travel from Michigan to watch him race there and it was the first track over 1/2 mile that he raced on. "Milwaukee is special to me because of the family and friends that I will have at the racetrack, Fedewa said. "The history of The Milwaukee Mile is great, with the old fairgrounds and loyal fans. The place is always full with fans. The track is competitive. You need to have the complete package to be good there. The Stanley car has to handle very well so that I can run on the bottom of the track, and a stronger motor to back me up. It is a good track for passing which gives the fans a great show."

* NAME THAT CAR!!! The No. 36 Stanley Racing Machine that Cicci-Welliver Racing will unload at The Milwaukee Mile is the same car that Fedewa last ran to a fifth place finish at South Boston Speedway. Fedewa also ran this car at Nazareth Speedway where he brought the car home in third. This car is one of Fedewa's favorite cars in the stall at Cicci-Welliver Racing.

"We changed shocks and springs from South Boston," said Vic Kangas, crew chief for the No. 36 Stanley Racing Pontiac. "At The Milwaukee Mile the cars have a tendency to be loose getting in and tight from the center off. We looked back over our notes and looked for the setup that will give us the most consistency."
