BUSCH: Mike McLaughlin ready for action at Loudon

CHARLOTTE, NC-Anytime Goulds Pumps Busch Grand National driver, Mike "Magic Shoes" McLaughlin gets the opportunity to race at New Hampshire International Speedway it puts a smile on his face and gets the adrenaline pumping in his body.

CHARLOTTE, NC-Anytime Goulds Pumps Busch Grand National driver, Mike "Magic Shoes" McLaughlin gets the opportunity to race at New Hampshire International Speedway it puts a smile on his face and gets the adrenaline pumping in his body. McLaughlin, the 1997 race winner, will be looking to become the first ever NASCAR Busch Series repeat winner at the 1-mile oval in Loudon, New Hampshire.

Over his driving career, New Hampshire International Speedway is the one track that has really helped to raise the Waterloo, NY native's driving stock. Some of McLaughlin's greatest moments have occurred at "The Magic Mile". In 1990, "Magic Shoes" claimed two checkered flags in one day, winning a Busch North and a NASCAR Featherlite Modified race. All totaled, McLaughlin is the second leading all-time winner at NHIS with six wins. McLaughlin has recorded 6 top-ten finishes at NHIS in 13 Busch Series starts.

"New Hampshire has been a great place to race in the past, hopefully we can make some more history this weekend in the Goulds Pumps Chevrolet," McLaughlin said. "This year has been full of bad luck for our racing team, maybe we can break away from the bad luck and put the Goulds Pumps Chevrolet in Victory Lane on Saturday."

PIT NOTES

MOTHER'S DAY! Mike McLaughlin will be joined by his mother, Katie, this weekend in Loudon. Mike would like nothing more than to give his Mother a win for Mother's Day. Mike's wife, Katie will also have her Mother, Lynn at the track this weekend.

Following Saturday's race, Mike and Katie McLaughlin will head for Waterloo, NY for the baptism of their son, Max, on Sunday morning. Max was born on February 29th of this year.
