SPARTANBURG, SC (August 12, 2003) -- This weekend the NASCAR Busch Series will travel to Brooklyn, Michigan. While Michigan is known for having more public golf courses than any other state in the U.S., this weekend all eyes will be focused on the two mile superspeedway. Team Yellow and driver Jamie McMurray are looking for a hole-in-one this weekend that will take them to victory lane.
Tiger Woods struggled for a couple of tournaments early in the year and has come back to win. Now that Team Yellow has struggled at the last two races they are looking to do the same. After having last weekend off, the team is refreshed and ready for anything the unpredictable superspeedway throws their way.
"Last year Team Yellow had a top-10 finish at Michigan International Speedway," said car chief Jon Wolfe. "This team is so competitive and has so much talent, I know we will improve upon last year's finish. We have put a lot of effort into this event, and Phoenix Racing always excels at the superspeedways. I am confident that we have what it takes to end up in victory lane Saturday afternoon."
Team Yellow driver Jamie McMurray said, "I am really excited about racing this weekend. I have so much fun driving on the big tracks like this. It's true this is a really competitive track, but I am very comfortable here. I like the drafting and passing, it really keeps you on your toes. I am looking forward to putting the No. 1 Dodge in victory lane at the end of the night. It's about time to give them employees of Yellow Transportation something to celebrate!"
The Cabela's 250 at Michigan International Speedway will be aired live on TNT and broadcast live on MRN beginning at 1:30 p.m. EDT Saturday, August 16. Qualifying for the event will take place Saturday, August 15 at 1:30 p.m. EDT and will be aired on the Speed Channel.
