(DALLAS - February 14, 2000) - Dallas-based Michael Holigan Companies, the leading source of building materials and services on the Internet, today donated 130 tickets for the Saturday, February 19 NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division NAPA Auto Parts 300 to honor the "2001 Teacher of the Year" nominees in the Volusia County school district. Michael Holigan sponsors the No. 25 MichaelHoligan.com Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series, which will be driven by Jerry Nadeau in the Daytona 500. Additionally, the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Volusia County will share 120 tickets to the NASCAR Busch Series season-opening festivities. This donation to the community totals $16,500.

Through Michael Holigan's donation, the 65 "2001 Teacher of the Year" nominees and their guests will have access to reserved seating for not only the 42nd annual Busch Series race but also for the Winston Cup Series "Happy Hour" practice - the last practice session before the Daytona 500.

Each of the 65 schools in the Volusia County school district nominated a "2001 Teacher of the Year" based on outstanding performance and leadership both in and out of the classroom. From these 65 nominees, a "Teacher of the Year" will be named for the entire school district on March 2 and will then advance to the "Teacher of the Year" awards for the state of Florida.
