NOTES & QUOTES
* Kluever currently sits fifth in the Busch Series point standings after posting seventh and 12th place finishes in his first two starts.
* The No. 06 team will be taking chassis #RK-339 to Mexico. It is a new car.
* Kluever will by trying to repeat his Raybestos Rookie-of-the-Year title this season in the Busch Series. He won rookie of the race at California last weekend.
Todd Kluever on Mexico:
"This will be a weekend of firsts for me. I've never been out of the country before and I've never run a road course. I watched the tape of last year's race and talked to some of the guys who ran last year to get a feel for the track. I've tested at VIR (Virginia International Raceway) three times and went to the Bondurant school to help me prepare for a road race. Boris Said went to VIR with me twice and he was a huge help. From what it looks like, the track in Mexico looks very smooth. There does not seem to be a lot of elevation changes or really tight turns so hopefully that will make my road course debut a little easier.
"I really hope we can do well in Mexico this weekend. We've still got three more races that we have to race our way into so that puts some added pressure on me, especially on a road course. It doesn't take much of a slip to end up off course and in the gravel. I just need to get a good, smooth lap to put us in the race, and then be patient for 80 laps to get a decent finish.
"I talked to Jorge Goeters at California and he said to come talk to him if I needed help when I got there. I told him I'd be happy to return the favor at an oval track in the United States if he gets the chance to run another Busch race this year."
