Paul Wolfe, driver of the No. 6 Hungry Drivers™ Dodge Charger started 21st in the Stater Brothers 300 at California Speedway. Wolfe fought an ill handling race car most of the day and went on to finish 26th.
Hoping a Little Road Course Experience Goes a Long Way
Paul Wolfe hopes that having road course experience will give him an advantage over some of his fellow NASCAR Busch Series competitors in this weekend's inaugural event at Autodromos Hermanos Rodriguez Speedway in Mexico City. In six combined starts at two road course tracks on the Busch North circuit, Watkins Glen International and Lime Rock Park, Wolfe has two top-five and four top-10 finishes. His qualifying record is equally as impressive as he has qualified third three times and just once outside of the top-10. Wolfe refreshed his road course skills last week with a one-day test session at Virginia International Raceway.
Driver, Paul Wolfe, on the first ever NASCAR Busch Series race in Mexico City
"I'm excited about this weekend's event in Mexico City. I enjoy road course racing and always looked forward to going to Watkins Glen when I competed in the Busch North Series. Some drivers seem to struggle with road courses but I have always performed pretty well on them.
There has been a lot of negative talk about NASCAR scheduling an event in Mexico City, but I think that it's going to be a positive experience for all parties involved -- the drivers, the fans and sponsors like Hellmann's® mayonnaise. NASCAR's growth can only be looked at as a positive for all of us and personally I am happy to be a competitor in the Busch Series as it tests the waters of growing internationally."
Equipment: Wolfe will compete with a brand new chassis, No. 19, in this weekend's event in Mexico City.
Primary Sponsor: Hellmann's® mayonnaise will serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 6 Dodge Charger in this weekend's event.
