LEFFLER COUNTING ON MORE EXPERIENCE AND TOYOTA ASSOCIATION TO HELP ROAD COURSE PERFORMANCE
* Did you know? A Braun Racing Toyota entry has started on the front row in each of the 2007 season's first two events. Jason Leffler, in the No. 38 Great Clips Toyota Camry, started 2nd in the season-opener at Daytona and Dave Blaney, in the No. 32 ABF Toyota Camry, started from the pole in last week's event at California.
* Leffler has one start at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. In last year's event at the Mexico City track he started 40th and finished 17th, his best career finish in a NASCAR road course race.
* Leffler has only three NASCAR road course starts to his credit with one start in Mexico City (2006) and two starts at Watkins Glen (2000 and 20)
LEFFLER ON ROAD COURSE RACING:
"My road course experience is pretty limited but I enjoy the challenge of it because it gives you the chance to test your skills in another aspect of racing. Last year's event in Mexico City was a huge challenge for me being that it was my first time at this race track and only my second road course race. We struggled in qualifying starting 40th, but ended up with a 17th place finish, which we were pretty satisfied with. Going back this year, we definitely have higher goals. We tested at VIR a few weeks ago to shake the car down and brush up on what we learned during the two road course races last season and we picked up a lot of time from when we last tested there. I think the combination of my having a little more experience and having better equipment with our Great Clips Toyota Camry will help us put down a stronger performance this weekend."
