Fike's Road Course Debut a Flawless One, RFMS/CAPG Crew Stellar in Pits At NASCAR Busch Series Telcel-Motorola 300 in Mexico City

MEXICO CITY (Sunday, March 5, 2006) -- Competing in his first-ever NASCAR Busch Series road course event, Aaron Fike drove a clean race from beginning to end and got stellar pit work from the #43 RFMS/Curb Agajanian Performance Group (CAPG) Dodge team enroute to a 28th-place finish in today's Telcel-Motorola 200 on the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez 2.518-mile circuit.

The 23-year-old out of Galesburg, Ill., started 39th and stayed out of trouble on an otherwise eventful afternoon that saw nine caution periods over the 80-lap race on the former Formula 1 track in downtown Mexico City. The CAPG crew got him in and out of the pits in short order on three occasions and the first-time road course competitor crept up 11 spots in the order before the checkered flag flew.

Next up is next Saturday's fourth event on the Busch series calendar for 2006, the Sam's Town 300 on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway 1.5-mile tri-oval.

AARON FIKE

"We had a very conservative game plan with some very modest goals when we came down here and I think we performed according to plan. It was my first road course race in a fendered car, ever, so the main thing was to stay out of trouble, and we were able to do that. I've got to hand it to the guys for three great stops today. Everybody did their job, and we had pretty much a clean run from start to finish, which didn't seem to be the case for a lot of guys out there today. It wasn't the most exciting weekend, but from a big-picture standpoint, we scored some pretty decent points and learned an awful lot for the other two road course races left this season. I'm happy to get that first road course race behind me. Now, it's time to get back down to business at Las Vegas."
