Team Marines Racing notes & quotes:
After posting their 13th top-ten finish of the season last weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway, the Team Marines head to Memphis hoping to capitalize on knowledge gained during test session there three weeks ago and determined to move back into the top-five in points before the end of the season.
Bobby Hamilton, Jr. on Memphis:
"I really like racing at Memphis. I have had some great runs there in the past. We had a great test session there a couple of weeks ago that really prepared us for this weekend. Finding the right setup at Memphis can be tough. It's like Richmond in a way but there is a bump going into turn one and another one down the back straightaway that can upset the car, and that is a factor in finding the right setup, which I think we did during the test. I am looking forward to this weekend and to using all of the information we learned and applying it and turning it into a win."
Fred Wanke on Memphis:
"Memphis is a neat little race track that has a certain uniqueness that is all its own. A lot of people compare it to Richmond and while it may be shaped like Richmond with a long front straightaway and a short back straightaway, it has its own character. I have a pretty good record running there from the NASCAR Craftsman truck series, leading a lot of laps and finishing in the top-five a couple of times, but never a win. Would like to have one there though. We tested at Memphis a couple of weeks ago and spent a lot of time on finding the right race setup. Heading into this weekend, I feel very prepared and confident in our chances of a good strong finish for the Team Marines."
The No. 25 Team Marines tested at Memphis Motorsports Park three weeks ago in preparation for the Sam's Town 250.
