DOVER, Del.-Mark Green and his Superflo/HMV Motorsports team went into Dover Downs International Speedway knowing that they needed to qualify towards the front and have a clean race in order to have a strong run in the MBNA.com 200. Unfortunately, none of the above was in the cards for Green this past weekend. Green was forced to use his fourth provisional of the season to line-up 40th for the race, and then was pushed to the 43rd position when he had to pit during the pre-race parade laps. "When we took off to make the parade laps the car was missing out which forced us into the pits to see what the problem was," said Green, driver of the Superflo/HMV Motorsports Chevrolet. "Apparently we broke a sparkplug when we changed them for the race. Being in the pits to fix the problem forced us to start dead last which put one more strike against us for the weekend." Once the race got underway, Green quickly began fighting a loose racecar that would plague him the entire 200 miles. "We have had a hard time with the car being loose all weekend," continued Green. "Goodyear brought a tire that had more stager than in the spring race which made a lot of cars loose. Unfortunately they could make changes that would help their cars whereas nothing would help ours." Green went on to finish the race in the 26th position looking forward to another off weekend for the NASCAR Busch Series. "We are going to be testing at Charlotte this week to learn more about our cars and what we can do to make the race," added Green. "We were unable to make the spring race and want to be certain that it doesn't happen again in two weeks."
