CHARLOTTE, N.C.-Mark Green and his Superflo/HMV Motorsports team took a hard blow last spring when they failed to qualify for the CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 held at the Lowe's Motor Speedway and have worked overtime to ensure that there second time at the track will not produce the same results. In preparation for this weekend's All Pro Bumper-to-Bumper 300, Green's team will be taking the same chassis they ran in the spring with a new body. Following a positive test session the team feels confident about their chances of making the race. "The guys and I have made a lot of changes to the car that we ran in the spring that seemed to help us during the test session," commented Jeff Hensley, HMV Motorsports team manager. "We stripped the car to bare chassis and put a new body on that allows air to flow smoother over the car. The changes we made seemed to help during our test, we will just have to see where we stand in qualifying on Thursday." Green, who posted a career best finish at the legendary speedway, is looking towards the All Pro Bumper-to-Bumper 300 with optimism. "We had a good test last Monday and were running close to the leaders," commented Green, driver of the Superflo Chevrolet. "The times we ran would have gotten us into the spring race and we learned a lot about how to make the car handle better which will also help us this weekend. A good weekend run would give our team the momentum they need to finish the season on a high note and to start planning for next year with confidence."
