Jason Keller Notes:
* Keller currently holds the record for the most top-five finishes (four) in NASCAR Busch Series competition at Gateway International Raceway. Keller's only finish out of the top five came in 1998.
* In last years race in St. Louis, Keller and driver Kevin Harvick swapped the lead four times in the closing laps, easily one of the most exciting finishes of the 2001 season. Harvick won the race by a margin of only .165 seconds over Keller and the Albertsons Ford.
* Albertsons announced in Chicago it has re-signed with ppc Racing as primary sponsor of Keller and the No. 57 Ford in the NASCAR Busch Series for 2003. Keller also signed a one-year contract extension with ppc Racing.
Jason Keller Quotes:
Looking For The Win... Keller has two runner-up finishes at Gateway International Raceway and is looking to challenge for the win on Saturday night. With a win this weekend, Keller will double his number of career wins from five to 10 in just six short months.
"In the past few weeks we have really gotten our program back on track and now we need to focus on winning," said Keller. "I am looking forward to St. Louis to continue our run for the championship. The track is very similar to Nazareth in its uniqueness. The layout of this track is very challenging because you have to give up the set up on one end of the racetrack in order to feel comfortable in the other. The car has to be very loose in order to maneuver through all four corners.
"When we first raced at Gateway many drivers had a tough time with the track surface. I seemed to adapt and came away with a great finish. Anytime your first impression of a track is a good one you always seem to run well there, or at least head to that track with a positive attitude. While our finishes this season don't always show it, we've had great performances on the track at almost every race and I know this week will be no different."
The No. 57 Albertsons Ford:
Keller is driving the same Albertsons Ford that finished second last year at Gateway. Keller drove this same car to victory lane in Rockingham and to a top-five finish at Darlington earlier this season.
