Did you know?... The Busch North Series, NASCAR Touring, is using a different tire from the one the NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division is using this weekend at NHIS. The Busch North Series uses bias-ply tires. The NASCAR Busch Series races on Goodyear Eagle Speedway Radials. The tire combination used by the Busch Grand National Division teams this weekend was introduced last week at Richmond, where it was used by both the Busch Series and Winston Cup Series teams. Goodyear plans to supply the same combination when the Winston Cup Series returns to Richmond later this season, here at Loudon when the Winston Cup Series and Craftsman Truck Series race here later this season and at Phoenix.

GOODYEAR QUOTE: Mark Keto, lead engineer, stock car racing:"This is a new tire set-up for 2002 at Loudon. This set-up will also be used at Richmond and Phoenix. It was tested in Phoenix by Ken Schrader and Dale Jarrett in February with very positive results in terms of consistency and driver comfort. This year's set-up utilizes taller constructions with the same compounds as last year."
