Jason Keller Quotes:
The Season Opener... Jason Keller and the Albertson's team captured their first victory of 2002 at Rockingham this past weekend. Keller led the final 74 laps to beat Greg Biffle by 6.208 seconds. The win also boosted Keller to first place in the Busch Series points standings.
"We knew after the final practice that we had a good car on the long runs," said Keller. "So we decided not to make any changes to the Albertson's Ford. Even during the race we only made minor air pressure adjustments. Steve (Addington) made some great decisions with the car, and it was dialed in from the start.
"We talked about what we needed to do to win the championship. We've proved we can be consistent and run up front, but what we need to do is put the Albertson's Ford in victory lane to prove we are a championship caliber team. I've never led the points standings in all my years on the circuit. For the first time in my Busch career, I'm the guy they're gunning for and I'm looking forward to that challenge."
The City Of Lights... Keller heads to Las Vegas with two top-five finishes in as many races. Keller finished third at LVMS last year after qualifying 20th.
"I can't wait to get to Las Vegas," said Keller. "Not only is the city fun to visit, but I love the track. You can race anywhere on the track, so it makes the racing exciting for me as a driver as well as the fans. We finished third last year, but that was after a disappointing qualifying effort. We've really concentrated on that aspect of our program, and have seen the improvements in the first two races. We are coming off an exciting weekend and hope to carry that momentum to Las Vegas."
