Hermie Sadler Looks To SCORE Big in Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV -- After a rare weekend off, the NASCAR Busch Series will spring back into action this weekend by heading out to the wild west and attacking the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. SCORE Motorsports will look to bounce back after an accident in Rockingham hindered the team's first potential top-ten finish of the season.
In three prior Las Vegas starts, Hermie has qualified fourth, fifth, and nineteenth. His best finish was ninth in 1998.
Sadler, would like nothing more to again start his No. 02 Chevrolet up front, and capture the win in one of the most prestige events of the year. "I'm looking forward to Las Vegas. Historically, it's been a good place for me, we've got some terrific sponsors for this weekend and we would like to nail the jackpot and end our weekend in victory lane," stated, the Emporia, Virginia native.
SCORE Motorsports announced last week the signing of Treasure Island Hotel & Casino as the primary sponsor of the No. 02 Chevrolet for Saturday's Sam's Town 300. "We are very excited to have Treasure Island on board our machine this weekend, we're hoping to give them something to cheer about all weekend," continued Sadler.
Hermie, along with his brother NASCAR NEXTEL driver Elliott will hold a meet and greet session with race fans and hotel guests this Friday, March 5th from 8:00pm to 9:00pm PT at MIST located in the Treasure Island casino. The brothers will sign autographs, take pictures, and Hermie will conduct a drawing to give away two pit passes for the big event on Saturday.
The team will use the Chevrolet Monte Carlo they ran in last season's season-finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. After starting 13th, the team overcame a few obstacles to post a solid 29th place finish in the Ford 300. "We have a good car for this weekend, we've updated it since last season, and I'm confident we will be fast, when we unload," said the driver of car No. 02.
The FanZCar, Zapf Creation, and Jenkins & Jenkins Law Firm, will join the No. 02 machine as associate sponsors for the third Busch event of the season.
Heading into Las Vegas Sadler has 228 NASCAR Busch Series starts to his record, 2 wins, 18 top-fives, 44 top-tens, three poles, and $2,197,714 in career earnings.
