Father's Day with Joe...Jason Keller will have his father, Joe by his side this weekend to celebrate Father's Day. Joe and his son have been racing together since the early days of Keller's career when he began competing in go-karts at the age of 10. Joe continued to follow his son's career as he progressed from late models at the local dirt tracks; to the NASCAR Winston All-Pro Challenge and then to the NASCAR Slim Jim All Pro Series. Papa Joe remains Keller's biggest fan as he competes in his 11th season in the NASCAR Busch Series. In fact, to stay close to his son and grandkids, Joe and his wife live next door to the Keller family in their hometown of Traveler's Rest, S.C.
#1 Dad--Anyone that has spent time with Jason Keller, recognizes the importance of family in his life. Keller and his wife, Deborah are the proud parents of two children, Joe and Jade. When Keller isn't at the race track he spends his time as assistant coach on Joe's baseball team and can often be found giving batting advice to Jade as she finishes up her first season of T-ball.
Welcome Meijer!--Jason Keller's No. 22 Ford will enter this weekend's race at Kentucky Speedway with a new sponsor on the hood. With the help of full time associate sponsors Bear Creek Soups and Airplus Insoles, Meijer Food Stores will participate as the primary sponsor for Keller's No. 22 Ford this weekend. The Meijer Foods/Airplus Insoles Ford Taurus will look to come home with a top-five finish this weekend in the Meijer 300 presented by Oreo.
Testing 1,2--Keller and his ppc Racing crew headed to the Talladega SuperSpeedway after putting in another weekend of 15 hour days in yet another race plagued by rain. The ppc Racing team took to the high banks of Talladega to get ready for their 4th of July weekend at the Daytona International Speedway. The two day test was cut short by rain, but Keller and his crew learned valuable information that they can take with them to Daytona next month.
Keller on spending Father's Day with Joe--"My dad has been the center of my racing career my whole life. So to go to victory lane with him this weekend at Kentucky would be really special."
Keller on racing at Kentucky--"I like Kentucky. We've run well there in the past, we finished second here last year so we're really looking forward to going back and performing well this year. The crowd there is amazing, it's probably one of the most exciting crowds to race in front of, so that makes it pretty special."
