Kasey Kahne survived the wreck fest at Texas to earn the win on the 1.5-mile speedway. Kahne held off the hard-charging cars of Reed Sorenson and Greg Biffle in a two lap shoot out to the checkers to score his first Busch win of 2005.

"Wow, this feels good," said Kahne. "It's great to get this Great Clips car back in victory lane. It feels really, really good."

Kahne grabbed the lead with six laps to go and held off the competition to garner his second series win.

Greg Biffle grabbed second.

"We just couldn't catch him there at the end," said Biffle. "But it was a great day for us. I am looking forward to having a good car and a great race tomorrow."

Reed Sorenson, Carl Edwards and Elliott Sadler complete the top five.

"It was a good run for the CitiFinancial Ford," said Sadler. "Not the result we wanted but we'll take a top five."

Shane Hmiel once again proved he is a weapon on the race track. Hmiel wrecked Blake Feese late in the race before wrecking his ride. Wrecks were the story of the day not too unusual for TMS. Cup star Tony Stewart was taken out early after Stanton Barrett made contact with Stewart's Kevin Harvick owned Chevy."

"Stanton is a good kid," said Stewart. "Thank God he hasn't made a Cup race. He needs to stick to what he does best, jumping off of buildings (Barrett is a stuntman) and wrecking cars for a living."

Carl Edwards continues to lead series points. Reed Sorenson (-76), Clint Bowyer (-166), Kenny Wallace (-298) and Ashton Lewis (-339) complete the top five in rankings.
