Johnson moves up in point standings after top-10 finish in Memphis MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Jimmie Johnson moved upto 9th position in the NASCAR Busch Series point standings after an 8th-place finish in Sunday’s Sam’s Town 250 at Memphis Motorsports Park. The track is a favorite of the rookie driver, who won there in 1999 while competing in the American Speed Association Series.         Johnson started the race in 9th position after qualifying Saturday. The race ran under the green flag until a caution on lap 73 allowed the ALLTEL Racing crew to change four tires and add fuel. Entering the pits in the 12th spot, Johnson gained four positions and left pit road in 8th position. Johnson ran consistently in the top-10 for the next 100 laps. Coming into the pits inthe 9th position on their second pit stop, Johnson left in 8th position after taking four tires and fuel.  On lap 188, an altercation between Johnson and the No. 66 car driven by Todd Bodine caused a caution that would last until lap 205. Later, on lap 242, the cars lined up in single file with eight laps to go and Johnson raced for the finish line, ending in 8th position. "I am really pleased with our finish,"Johnson said. "We picked up some points and added to our position in the points standings." The NASCAR Busch Series visits the Phoenix International Raceway for the next race on the 2000 schedule. The Outback Steakhouse 200 will air live on TNN starting at 3:30 p.m. EST.
