Joe Nemechek To Sub For Grubb

With Wayne Grubb still on the mend from the broken right shoulder blade he suffered at Atlanta Motor Speedway last week so a decision had to be made for a replacement driver. After talking with several drivers and discussing several options Joe Nemechek became the teams choice and they feel confident about that choice. No announcement has been made about the other events Grubb will miss but Busch and Winston Cup veteran, Nemechek, will be behind the wheel of the Link-Belt Chevrolet for the Saturday, March 20 running of the Diamond Hill Plywood 200 at Darlington Raceway.

Nemechek has won in the series and his driving abilities have kept him as a consistent runner in the Winston Cup Series for the last 6 years. This experience and a strong ride that Grubb had tested at the 1.366 mile South Carolina facility should lead up to a good weekend for Nemechek and the team. "We looked at several options and felt that Joe's talents and knowledge would not only be a good boost for our sponsor but also help the team by bringing that experience with him" said the injured Grubb.

Qualifying for the Busch event at Darlington will go off at 2pm Friday, with Joe's first chance to feel out the Link-Belt Chevrolet coming in the first practice at 9:30am that morning.
