Jeff Green On Charlotte: Jeff Green, 2000 NASCAR Busch Series Champion and driver of the No. 10 Nestlé Nesquik Ford Taurus, won the spring event at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
"It sounds cliché, but I really feel we have momentum on our side this weekend," said Green. "We've won the last two in a row and the fact we won the Charlotte race in the spring gives us great hope for another win this weekend. Posting three wins in a row is no easy feat, but it has been done before. The Nesquik Ford we are taking to the track this weekend has won three times in its career, so it should be a strong car for us this weekend. Most recently, it was the car we won with at Dover two weeks ago."
2001 Performance: Green sits atop the following categories in Busch competition in 2001: Most top-10s (21); Most races led (19); Most top-five starts (17) and Most top-10 starts (21).
Equipment: Green and his Nesquik Racing team are taking the one of their favorite cars to Charlotte this weekend. The car has only competed nine times in its history and has won three of those outings. It ran three races in 2000: Michigan (14th) , Charlotte fall (4th) and Rockingham fall (1st). The races it has ran this year are: Fontana (3rd), Charlotte spring (1st), Dover spring (29th), Pikes Peak (2nd), Darlington fall (9th) and Dover fall (1st) .
Charlotte Test: Green and the Nesquik Racing team tested their Nesquik Ford at Lowe's Motor Speedway on September 18th and 19th.
Double Duty: Green continues his tour of double duty with the No. 30 AOL Chevrolet on the NASCAR Winston Cup circuit with Richard Childress Racing. This will be the final of the seven scheduled races for Green in that car.
Jeff Green Appearance: Green will be signing autographs at the Food Lion at 3673 Concord Parkway South in Concord, NC on Wednesday, October 3rd from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Green will also appear on Fast Talk with Benny Parsons broadcast live that same evening from Concord Mills Mall in the Food Court from 6:25 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
