Consecutive Poles: When Green won the pole for Cheez-it 250 earlier this year, he was the first driver to complete the feat of posting consecutive poles at Bristol. (Green won the 1999 Food City 250 pole.) Since 1982, there have been only three drivers other than Green to post multiple poles (Morgan Shepherd, 3; Tommy Ellis, 2; and Mark Martin, 2), but Green is the only driver to post them consecutively. This weekend, Green will attempt an unprecedented three poles in a row for the 2000 Food City 250.

Always a Bridesmaid, Never the Bride: Green has finished second three times at Bristol, but hasn't been able to capture his first checkered flag at the .533-mile oval.

"It is about time for us to get a win at Bristol," said Green. "I've finished second two times during the night race and we finished second here this spring, so I know we're always right there at the end. It would mean a lot to me to finally get a win there, especially during the night race. It is the most exciting show of the year in my book and I know the race fans love it as well. We're bringing the same car we finished second with in the spring, so I know we'll have a good shot at getting our first win."

Equipment: The NesQuik Racing team is taking the same car to Bristol that they ran in the spring event in which they finished second. The car also competed earlier this year at Rockingham (finished second), Darlington (finished fourth) and Dover (finished fourth). <pre> Jeff Green / Bristol Motor Speedway Statistics:
