"It was a lot of fun. I was really hoping that those young guys would make a mistake and I'd drive right by them; it'd make it easy for me. I'll tell you what, both of them really used their heads. Brian could have taken as lot of shots and hurt them both. In '95 I won my first Busch race here, so I know what Brian is going through right now is pretty special. A great day for the Albertsons team. I know I'm a veteran but I really made a big mistake leaving pit road. I stalled the car. I really thought we had a shot of winning the race off of pit road. It was going to be close. You always think you can, but I just stalled it and I know I let Wimmer and the 5 car beat me off of pit road. But, that's the way it goes."

"It was really evenly matched. The 48 car was slowing down. He got a really good restart on that last restart and got back by the 5 and kind of bottled us all up. I tried the low side and the 23 got back by me. It was great racing, side-by-side and hard racing. I made pretty hard contact off of 2 there and I thought I was going to wreck everybody there off 2. But I got that under control and it was a real good night for us. We just need to stay consistent. Stacy was coming. He had to go to the back a couple of times and he came on back through there. Track position was everything tonight."

"I'm sure his (Vickers) spotter was telling him that I was coming. I was trying to make a move and at that time I got by the 23 car and felt like I was pretty good. I felt like that if I could have got by the 48 at about the same time he did maybe it would have been different. But, the 48's not going to pull over and he's not supposed to. At the end, we were running about equal times to the 5, but he had a little bit of a lead on us. I can be a little disappointed because, sure, you want to win, but we're clicking away at this points deal and that's what we wanted to do all along. We've been consistent running for the lead and running for the win and that's what it takes."

"That was as good as it gets. Short-track racing, and I said a little while ago, if the fans don't like that race, they don't enjoy short-track racing. Some of these races, we go to these big cookie-cutter race tracks and they get bored. If that was boring for the fans that were sitting in the seats tonight, they don't need to come back to a race because it doesn't get much more exciting than that. There one time, we were two-by-two for the lead. There were four of us just door-to-door and it was real exciting for me. I would have like to have been out front but as far as just as an exciting race, it was an exciting race."

"Typically my stats will show when I come here and some of the short tracks, I run well, but we're getting better at the bigger race tracks as well. We have some bigger race tracks coming up, so we've got to do good to stay in this points battle."
