FOYT HOPES TO END SEASON ON POSITIVE NOTE - Foyt, driving the No. 38 Great Clips Dodge, will make his fourth NASCAR Busch Series start in Saturday's running of the Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Foyt has three starts at the 1.5-mile oval in the IRL IndyCar Series with a series best ninth-place finish in March.
FOYT'S THOUGHTS ON MIAMI - "I'm excited about going to Homestead this weekend. I had one of my best IRL finishes there. I noticed in March that the track had started to develop a second groove so it should be an exciting race this Saturday. The last three weeks haven't gone the way I had hoped for and I would like to finish the season for Great Clips with a strong run. "
LAST WEEKEND - Foyt started his third NASCAR Busch Series race at Phoenix International Raceway from the 37th position. After contact with another car on lap 13 sent Foyt hard into the outside retaining wall, he was unable to rejoin the race and finished in the 42nd position. Great Clips is currently in the 23rd spot in the NASCAR Busch Series owner point standings.
CHASSIS INFORMATION -The Great Clips team is taking chassis No. 36 to Homestead-Miami Speedway as the primary car. This is the same car that visited Victory Lane at Texas Motor Speedway in the spring event with Kasey Kahne behind the wheel. This car also competed at Lowe's Motor Speedway's fall event where Kahne finished 12th.
APPEARANCES - Foyt will be appearing at the Anheuser-Busch Bash hospitality tent on Saturday, November 19 from 2:00-2:30 p.m. He will be signing autographs and participating in a Q&A session.
EVENT INFORMATION - Qualifying for the Ford 300 is scheduled for 11:05 p.m. EST on Saturday, and will be broadcast by SPEED Channel. The 200-lap event is set for 4:10 p.m. EST and will be televised live by TNT and broadcast by MRN.
