Kevin Harvick earned his fourth Bud pole of the season in a Busch series event this season, and the tenth of his career for the Little Trees 300 at Lowe's Motor speedway.

"I think it will be an exciting night," said Harvick. "And we are going to have a good spot to start from."

This is Harvick's third series pole at Charlotte, finished 9th in the spring race here.

"It was just a little bit too free although it was a lot better that what we had in practice," said Harvick. "I think running this Busch race here under the lights will make it a lot of fun. They'll (fans) see a lot more sparks with these cars bottoming out like they are. I think we're in pretty good shape for the race."

Brian Vickers was second, scoring his best starting spot this season.

Mike Bliss was third.

"I didn't qualify very well here for the spring race," said Bliss. "So I was a little more determined today to get up there on it and be more aggressive. This track looks easy, but it's not."

Greg Biffle and Ron Hornaday round out the top five.
