BUSCH: Green wins O'Reilly 300 pole

Jeff Green, looking for his second straight Busch Series win, grabbed the pole for Saturday's O'Reilly 300. Green, driver of the No. 21 Rockwell Automation Chevrolet, has yet to win on the 1.5-mile track.

Starting alongside on row one is the No. 87 Cellular One Chevy of Joe Nemechek, with a speed of 192.995 mph.

Matt Kenseth grabbed the fifth starting spot, marking the highest effort by a Ford.

The No. 2 AC Delco Chevy of Raybestos Rookie contender Johnny Sauter starts third and the Yellow Freight No. 1 of Jimmy Spencer will roll off of the grid in fourth.

The Winston Cup regular Spencer enters this weekend's race at Texas not only as a driver, but as a car owner. Spencer Motor Ventures' No. 34 Air Force sponsored Chevy, will make its first on track appearance with driver Stuart Kirby behind the wheel. Kirby will start the race in the 32nd spot.
