CHARLOTTE, N.C.-Mark Green and his Superflo/HMV Motorsports team will be heading to Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, Va. for the Autolite Fram 250 in hopes of improving on their 24th finish in the spring race. In preparation for Friday's event, the Superflo team will be taking the same racecar they previously ran strong with at Indianapolis. "We are taking the same car we ran at Indy with a few changes," explained Jeff Hensley, HMV Motorsports team manager. "We did some work on the front fenders to all of our cars which has seemed to help the handling, and we will be putting the car on the chassis dyno before this weekend's race. Hopefully we can utilize the session to learn more about what changes we can make to our cars to make them handle better." After a disappointing run at last weekend's Dura-Lube 200 held at Darlington Raceway, Green is ready to get back on the track that he has had several consistent runs on in the past. "I have always had consistent runs at Richmond," commented Green, driver of the Superflo Chevrolet. "In the spring we finished 24th and learned a lot about the car that we are applying to this weekend's set-up." "Of all the tracks on the 2000 schedule, Richmond is definitely my favorite," continued Green. "It is the perfect size for drivers because it's not too big or too small. Richmond is the type of track that all 43 drivers have a chance of winning." HMV Motorsports (Hensley Racing), based in Ridgeway, Va., is the only NASCAR Busch Series team that has competed full time in the series since its inception in 1982. HMV Motorsports is owned by Hubert Hensley, along with partner Mac Martin. The Autolite Fram 250 will be aired live Friday, September 8 on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. EST and on MRN Radio with coverage starting at 7:15 p.m. EST.
