"We were right in the center of the corner in three and four and somebody turned David Green. I don't know who it was that turned him, but he just turned right in front of the whole pack. I don't know. There's just no sense in that kind of racing and I'm pretty sure it was a lapped car that did it."

THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED ON A RESTART AND THAT'S WHEN YOU HAVE TO BE PARTICULARLY CAREFUL, RIGHT?

"That's where a driver's got to pay attention and be heads up. This is the real deal out here. It's just uncalled for and wiped out a bunch of good race cars. We're lucky nobody got hurt."

SHANE HALL --63-- Lance Snacks Taurus

"When you've got some of us lapped cars down on the bottom on that restart and everybody started fanning out, some guys got together in front of us. We were just along for the ride. I thought we had it cleared, but somebody got us in the back and turned us around and kind of made us a part of it."

WAS THE RESTART PART OF THE PROBLEM?

"I think that's what it was. We hadn't had a big wreck all day and that got us all bunched back up. Everybody was getting close to the end and everybody starts losing a little of their patience, so that was part of it."

JASON KELLER --57-- Albertsons Taurus

"I must have run over something on the race track. When you wreck that many race cars it's hard to get everything cleaned up. It's unfortunate for the Albertsons Ford because we were looking pretty good there. We battled our way back up into top 10 contention and I was hoping those leaders would get side-by-side and maybe I could pull something out, but you can't do that in the pit area. It was a good day for us. We ran up front most of the day, but it didn't end that way."

DID YOU FEEL ANYTHING, LIKE YOU RAN OVER SOMETHING?

"I never felt anything. The spotter was telling me when I was coming through where they had the wreck and he was talking me through there, but I never felt like I hit anything. It could have been so small, but it never gave any warning. I'm okay and that's the main thing."

IS IT MORE DISAPPOINTING FROM THE STANDPOINT YOU COULD HAVE GAINED A LOT OF POINTS WITH HARVICK'S PROBLEM?

"It's always disappointing, but we can't control the things you can't control. We just ran over something and blew a tire, but races are the main thing that are disppointing. Anytime you come to a place like this and have a shot at finishing in the top 10, maybe even the top five, that's what we're after and it just didn't work out."

CHRISTIAN ELDER --38-- Great Clips Taurus

WAS THIS A CASE OF BEING IN THE WRONG PLACE AT THE WRONG TIME?

"Yeah, pretty much. They checked up in front of me and I got into Fedewa a little bit -- nothing that was gonna hurt us, but when he pulled out Keller was right in front of me. There was nothing I could do and nowhere I could go. I was done."

JEFF GREEN --10-- Nesquik Taurus

"I say this every year here, but I'd never do this if I had to do it every week. This is crazy, just crazy. This Nesquik Taurus is awesome. We were just a little under-manufactured there. The Pontiacs kind of ganged up on us and then Elton and Greg got up there at the end to help me a lot, but, man, I wouldn't do this every week if I had to do that. It's too nail-biting for me and with Spencer in the mix, that makes it even more exciting. He's just a little bit on the crazy side for me. He doesn't race with us every week, he has nothing to lose and we've got everything to lose. It doesn't matter to him. It doesn't matter where he runs. He puts it in the grass, on the apron, it doesn't matter. Unfortunately, we've got to race with guys like that."

WHAT WERE YOU THINKING ON THE BACKSTRETCH?

"I almost ran out of room, but it's the last lap and what do you do? You just gotta go for it all. I don't know. I don't know what Spencer's deal is, but he doesn't care. He doesn't care where he runs. He knocks people out of the way, but he isn't running for points so he doesn't have anything to lose."

IT WAS A GOOD POINTS DAY AS WELL WITH KEVIN AND JASON HAVING PROBLEMS.

"Yeah, I don't know what happened to Kevin and Jason, but we did what we had to do. We've had a couple of bad weeks and they haven't, so maybe this is their cycle to have a little bit of trouble. This team is awesome. This Nesquik Ford is good every week, we've just got to make it to the end. We haven't done that the last couple of weeks, but we did today and I'm proud of them."

GREG BIFFLE --60-- Grainger Taurus

"It was a great run for us -- great pit strategy cycled us up there at the end. I feel really bad. I turned the 18 around on the frontstretch and it was just the air sucking us around, and the 98 kind of jumped a little sideways. I feel really bad, it was unfortunate for him but it was a good run for us today. I don't understand why the Winston Cup drivers have to come out and race us under the caution back to the start-finish line. That was really a chicken deal to do for them, but it got them in front of us there at the end. I guess we'll just learn by that."

YOU HAD A GOOD POINTS DAY AS WELL.

"I feel really good. Like I said, we're not that great on these superspeedways and it's all a credit to the pit stops that just cycled us in that position at the end. We were in third with a ways to go and that's all that counted. That's what got us a good finish, but they were so much faster than me that they could just really drive by me pretty easily. I had to have somebody working with me and be behind a good car to stay where I was."

ELTON SAWYER --98-- Starter/Auburn University Taurus

"It was a good job. We just had to be patient all day and finally got ourselves in position at the end. I really thought we were gonna be okay. We had Jeff in second, Greg was in third and we were gonna be in fourth on that restart, but two of the fastest cars on the race track -- the 1 and the 21 -- they've got to pass cars under caution. I don't understand it, but it was still a good day for us. We'll take it."

YOU LOOKED REALLY STRONG THE LAST COUPLE OF RESTARTS.

"We had a plan going into the race. We knew you were gonna get shuffled to the back a couple of times and we just tried to be patient and not do anything stupid. We got ourselves in position at the end and anything can happen there with a five lap shootout." DID THE AUBURN COLORS HELP? "Yeah, this is great for the college program. Prior to this, the prior three events, we haven't done real well so it was good to get a good finish for the Auburn Tigers."

DID COACH TUBERVILLE GIVE YOU ANY ADVICE ON THE RADIO?

"No, he waved the flag though on us. It was nice meeting him. He's a great guy and we wish them all the best this year in their season."
