It's His First Time... At California Speedway

Driver, Paul Wolfe, on California Speedway
"I'm real excited about going back to California Speedway. We tested there a couple of weeks ago with a goal of allowing me to get some seat time and a chance to get comfortable on the track. It's a track that I know I am really going to enjoy racing on. It's good and wide and has multiple grooves that allow you to move the car around as much as you need to. You can try out different lines and find where your car works best. This type of race track generally produces a lot of exciting racing which makes it fun for the fans as well as the drivers."
Team Director, Elton Sawyer, on California Speedway
"We had a good test in California. We did not test with the car we intended to race with so we weren't there to be the fastest car. Our goal was to allow Paul to gain a certain level of familiarity with the track. When we unload on Thursday, our main focus will be on making sure that we have the set-up to make a strong qualifying run given that we have to get into the race on time. Once we feel like we have that, we'll start tweaking the car so that it will be race ready as well. Again, our goal is to finish in the top-15 as we hit these tracks the first time around. When we come back later in the season, we'll have our eye on victory lane."
Equipment: Wolfe will compete with chassis No. 9 in this weekend's Stater Brothers 300. Chassis No. 9 was last raced in March, 2003 at Bristol, with Jimmy Spencer behind the wheel for then car owner Tommy Baldwin, Jr.
Testing: The No. 6 Hungry Drivers team tested at California Speedway in January in preparation for this event.
Primary Sponsor: Shedd's Spread Country Crock® spread will serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 6 Dodge Charger in this weekend's event.
