KENNY WALLACE ON CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY ...

"I really like coming out to California. It is your typical 1.5-mile race track, except it has lots of room and the speeds are much faster. You can go three-wide into the corner and race hard all day long. It is close to L.A., so all the superstars come out and watch us race, which is neat.

"I had a lot of fun doing the 'Best Damn Sports Show' on Tuesday in Las Vegas. It is different than most of the shows that I do, and I enjoy cutting up with those boys.

"I am really looking forward to a good run after our sixth-place finish last weekend in Talladega. Our Stacker 2/YJ Stinger team is gaining momentum, and we are ready to go racing."

Kenny Wallace Happenings...

Wallace will be at Speed Zone Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 28, from 7:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., signing autographs and racing some lucky contest winners on the slick track. Wallace will also attend the premiere of the FX Networks' NASCAR reality show, "Drivers 360." The premiere will be April 29 at the Fox Studio lot. Wallace, along with eight other drivers, will appear in the show that is currently scheduled to debut May 14 on FX.

STACKER 2 HAPPENINGS...

Wallace will be at A.B. Miller High School in Fontana, Calif., April 29 at 12:20 p.m. PDT, for the fifth stop on the 2004 YJ Stinger's "Race to Bee Safe" program. He will talk to the students about the responsibility of being behind the wheel of a car. The program has an added bonus this year: one student will win a $20,000 scholarship by writing an essay about what the program meant to them.

Get to Know Jack...One-year-old Jack Sable suffers from a chromosome disorder that affects many people in the United States. When Stacker 2 heard about Jack and his condition, it took the family under its wing. For every lap Wallace and the Stacker 2/YJ Stinger team completes this year, NVE, the parent company of Stacker 2, will donate $1 to the Sable family to help pay for Jack's medical costs. So far this season, Wallace and the Stacker 2/YJ Stinger team have earned $1,517 for the cause.

"I intend on completing every lap I can for Jack Sable and the Sable family," Wallace said. "At the end of the year I would like nothing more than to have Jack and his family at our table at the banquet."
