MILLER'S TIME -- Miller returns to the driver's seat of the REESE'S Chevrolet this weekend after a three-week hiatus. Miller last drove the REESE'S Chevy at Indianapolis Raceway Park in August, when he started 27th and finished 39th. Miller's best finish of the season came during the Wallace Family Tribute in St. Louis. Miller started fifth and finished sixth. He also finished 10th the week before at Pikes Peak.

CALIFORNIA KID -- Brandon Miller is certainly no stranger to California. In fact, Miller grew up just a few hours north of Fontana in Rancho Santa Fe. Miller first raced competitively in a go-kart at the age of 12, and he has his racing roots firmly planted in Southern California.

REESE'S CHEVY PREVIOUSLY AT CALIFORNIA -- This will be the first time that Harvick has not been behind the wheel of the No. 21 at California Speedway. Harvick has shown great success at his hometown track with three top-five finishes, four top-10 finishes and one pole in just four starts. Miller hopes to see similar results there this weekend.

TESTING 1, 2, 3 -- The REESE'S Racing team and Brandon Miller will test the No. 21 twice in September. The first test will take place Sept. 6 at Dover International Speedway, followed by a test at Lowe's Motor Speedway Sept. 27-28. Miller's teammate Clint Bowyer will accompany him to these tests to give Miller pointers on lines to run at the tracks. It also gives Miller a chance to learn the track before the REESE'S team goes there for race weekend.

REESE'S RECORDS -- Kevin Harvick holds the Busch Series record for qualifying at California Speedway. This record was set April 26, 2003, when Harvick recorded a speed of 183.941 mph (39.143 sec.)

OWNERS' POINTS -- The REESE'S Racing team is fourth in the Busch Series Owner Standings with 363 points less than the leader.

QUOTEBOOK AND NOTES:

Brandon Miller on his teammates -- "It is really cool to have such good teammates like Clint and Kevin. Clint and I always go to each other's tests and help each other out. It works out pretty well for us since we have similar feels and similar setups in our cars. I also enjoy having Kevin around, because he has been to almost every track, and he gives me some really good pointers on how to get around the tracks."

ON RACING IN HIS HOME STATE -- "A YEAR AGO, IF YOU TOLD ME I WOULD BE RACING HERE THIS SEASON, I WOULD'VE SAID 'YOU'RE CRAZY.' IT'S JUST A DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME, AND I WANT TO MAKE THE MOST OF IT. I'M REALLY PROUD TO BE ABLE TO RACE IN FRONT OF MY FAMILY AND ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE HELPED ME GET TO THIS POINT IN MY CAREER."

* Miller is scheduled to drive four of the final nine Busch Series Races this season.

* Miller made his NASCAR Busch Series debut at Kansas in 2004. He finished 16th.

* Harvick will be back behind the wheel of the REESE'S Chevy Sept. 9th at Richmond International Raceway.

* Miller's next Busch Series event will be Sept. 24 at Dover International Speedway.

* The REESE'S Chevy has finished in the top-10 at California Speedway since the brand has been a sponsor of the No. 21.

* Miller started racing go-karts at age 12.

* In 1998 Miller won the U.S. Grand Nationals in karting while running the entire European Circuit.
