Sadler, FanZCar Looking For Success Out West
Fontana, California - - The NASCAR Busch Series will return to the West coast this weekend, arriving at the two-mile oval of California Speedway for the running of the Stater Bros. 300 presented by Gatorade. California Speedway is well known as the "sister" track to Michigan International Speedway, a track that The FanZCar driver Hermie Sadler has had some success at in the past.
Heading into the event this weekend, Sadler has three career starts at the two-mile track. Hermie has a career best start of 21st, which occurred in 1997, while motoring a career best finish at 20th in 1998.
"I am looking forward to California, because we have learned a great deal about the new tire and aero package over the last couple of races, and this race should give us a good idea of where we stand," said the driver of car 02. The Emporia Virginia native added, "It is a fun track to drive, with lots of room for passing."
The FanZCar team will invade the track this weekend, looking for their first top-ten finish of the season. The team has obviously had a few hiccups this season, but as the season has progressed the team continues to learn, and everyone feels it's just a matter of time before the team begins to make some serious noise. "Hopefully California will be the beginning of a good streak of races for us," explained the 35-year veteran racer.
Zapf Creation, and Jenkins & Jenkins Law Firm will join the black and white No. 02 machine as associate sponsors this weekend.
In addition to competing on the NASCAR Busch Series race this weekend, Sadler will once again leap over to the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series for the running of Sunday's Auto Club 500. Sadler will drive the No. 02 SCORE Motorsports Chevrolet Monte Carlo, which will carry associate sponsorship from The FanZCar.
Julie Leavelle, Robert Ronald Cole III, Debra Severson, Morgan Tracy, Steven J Charles, and David Belcher will all have a huge weekend ahead of them. These members will be at California representing The FanZCar and cheering on Hermie Sadler.
Rolling into Fontana, Sadler has 234 NASCAR Busch Series starts to his record, 2 wins, 18 top-fives, 44 top-tens, three poles, and has achieved $2,311,124 in career earnings.
Sadler also has 26 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series starts to his record, 0 wins, 0 top-fives, 0 top-tens, no pole and has achieved $1,283,891 in career earnings. His best career finish in the premier series of NASCAR occurred in 2002 piloting his No. 02 Virginia Lottery Chevrolet to an 18th place finish at Richmond International Raceway spring event.
