MATT KENSETH-17-Waste Management Ford Taurus (Finished 9th)

"We ran terrible all day and the only thing that saved me was my pit crew. They had good pit stops and had us up front. When we had a green-flag run I could hold my own and just had a terrible car and couldn't run. The stuff wasn't right today, and it was just bad."

DID YOU LEARN ANYTHING FOR TOMORROW? "The rules are a fair amount different now aerodynamically and these cars still have the big spoilers, so I didn't learn much because of the rules and the cars have vastly different setups in them. I sure hope nothing relates."

MARK MARTIN-9-Pennzoil Platinum Ford Taurus (Finished 1st)

"I knew the 21 was really fast for a few laps. I knew I had my hands full. Kevin was going to do everything he could to win that race. We had such an awesome car. A real heartfelt thanks to Jack Roush who made this all possible for me."

YOU SAID EARLIER THAT THIS CAR WAS JUST BUILT PRIOR TO THE RACE. "I'd say it was just barely done. We got in just a little bit of practice yesterday and I told them it's OK because we didn't need a lot. It's such a special race car, right down to the wire, getting it all put together. I'm blessed and honored."

HOW SPECIAL IS YOUR 46TH BUSCH SERIES VICTORY? "It's pretty special. I know there's not many more out there for me, so it is pretty special, but that first one was pretty good, too."

YOU HAD A DOMINANT CAR TODAY. "The car was awesome yesterday and we had it really close. I was real worried about finishing at night, but it didn't matter. The car was just fast."

DAVID GREEN-27-Kleenex/Ralphs Ford Taurus (Finished 14th)

"We had a good car. Early on, we were right there and had a guy, our jack man, who does a good job, got off of the wall there a little earlier so we had penalty, and we caught up the rest of the night. When the red flag happened the car was pretty good, but I was afraid it was too good and sitting there like that it would get too tight when it got cool like this with the rain. Sure enough, it was too tight. It was like I was in the way. My car changed tremendously. Before it rained it was just right and it was probably too good because when it rained the track changed and it cooled off. In that dirty air back there it just makes it that much worse. I'm very, very proud. My guys gave me a top-five car and we had a few issues. How about that new motor? I know Mark Martin liked it and I can't wait to go again."

STACY COMPTON-59-Kingsford/Welch's Ford Taurus (Finished 16th)

YOU USED A TWO-TIRE STOP TO MAKE UP TRACK POSITION AT THE END. "We had a good race car. We just couldn't get track position. The guys made some great calls. We had a good race car, and it's a little frustrating because we really felt like we had a top-10 race car. We had a flat tire early and we over adjusted and it took us most of the race to get that back. We'll get 'em. We had to crawl before we walk, and we were better tonight than we've been, so we'll get them and keep digging."

ASHTON LEWIS, JR.-25-Marines Ford Taurus (Finished 11th)

"To me, the last run was not our worst, but the next-to-last run I felt like was our best set of tires and our best combination. I really felt that if we could have stayed that way that we would have been really good. I'm very pleased. We had a couple of bad pit stops that put us in the back and we had to pass a loot of cars, but to come out of here with an 11th and to be sixth in points and fourth out of the regulars, I think that's a pretty good start."

ARE YOU STILL LEARNING ABOUT THIS NEW TIRE COMPOUND? "We are for sure. This is why I think it's such a good run for us because we had yet to test an open race track, so this weekend was our first test and our first experience on these tires. To come out of here with an 11th with a field as strong as it was, I'm not happy with it, but I'm satisfied with it."

KENNY WALLACE-22-Stacker 2 Ford Taurus (Finished 13th)

"I'm not going to make any excuses. We kinda missed it somewhere. We made so many adjustments, we got so much better and then we bashed our right-front fender in and got better, so now we're looking at some of our aerodynamics. I know we have a good race car, we just need to work on it a little bit. When I bashed the right-front fender in it took off, so I don't know. We're working on it."

IS THIS ALL PART OF WORKING WITH A NEW CREW CHIEF AND NEW TEAM? "It's not that we're just working on our communication, it's just that we have these soft tires now. It's not like we took over from last year. Now we have tires that are just different compliance-wise. I'm happy to get 13th. We had to take a couple of moves there at the end to get it, but we came from 30th to 13th in 30 laps. The guys mean well. We had some hung lug nuts. Who knows, if we could have started up 10 spots earlier maybe we could have got ourselves a seventh or eighth out of it. All in all, 13th is OK."

JASON KELLER-35-McDonald's Ford Taurus (Finished 17th)

IS THIS TEAM FEELING SOME GROWING PAINS? "There's no doubt, we're definitely feeling some growing pains. It's good that we ran the entire race, so now we can learn. We knew we had to come in here and learn, there's no doubt about it. It is what it is, and we need to take it and move forward." DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'VE USED THE FIRST TWO RACES TO PLAY CATCH UP TO THE OTHER TEAMS BECAUSE THIS IS A NEW TEAM AND YOU HAVEN'T TESTED ON THE SOFTER TIRE COMPOUND YET? "We're doing a lot of testing. We had 12 laps together before the race today. If I had to do it over, I definitely would have a different setup in it, but we didn't know going in so hopefully we'll take this and be better in Las Vegas."

CARL EDWARDS-60-Charter Communications Ford Taurus (Finished 6th)

"That's good considering how tight the thing was. That's an OK finish for us. That's a good championship run to come back from a car that handles that badly. Brad and I made decisions last night to change some stuff and we're all in this together. It's nobody's fault. We all made the decisions to make the changes and it just didn't work. Heck, we finished sixth so that's all right for the second race of the season."

YOU BATTLED THE NO. 41 CAR IN THE CLOSING LAPS. "That was a lot of fun. He's a great race car driver. I was trying to hold him off and I just kept getting tighter and tighter and tighter, and he finally got me. But, that was fun racing with him."

HOW DID THE TRACK CHANGE AFTER THE RED FLAG? "It was better for me, so it helped us a little bit, but it didn't matter because that thing was tight." DID YOU LEARN ANYTHING FOR TOMORROW? "I learned a little bit about different spots on the race track. I learned some different lines and stuff, so I feel pretty good about it."

MICHEL JOURDAIN, JR.-10-Telcel Ford Taurus (Finished 25th)

"We are still learning. There at the end we lost a lot of positions. The car just finally got really, really tight and we probably lost five or six positions. We're learning and still finishing races. We have a complete car and that's important. We're building cars and getting up to speed, so it's important that we finish like this. We have to get pit stops and I'm learning so much every time I go out. I want to start getting better results."

IS THERE A LEVEL OF FRUSTRATION? "I am frustrated for that last little part. We ran solid all day long, and there at the end the car got really tight and almost everybody behind me had new tires. The most important thing is that we finished and learned. I'm getting better and that's very important."

GREG BIFFLE-66-Duraflame Ford Taurus (Finished 40th)

WHAT TOOK YOU OUT OF THE RACE? "There's so much garbage out on the race track flying around. It happens on these big race tracks like this. I got a tear-off from a windshield completely over the front of the grille. It sealed it up tight and not a drop of air could get in it and cool it down. I was already running 220 and within one lap it was 270 and spit all of its water out just in one lap. We got down and tried to put water in it on pit road there and it was just so hot that it wouldn't take any water. It looked like it was cooling off and we tried to go again, and it was too hot and burned it up."
