MOORESVILLE, NC--Randy LaJoie will pilot the No. 82 Jani-King Chevrolet Monte Carlo for the NASCAR Busch Series race at Phoenix International Raceway on November 1, 2003. This will be the first race in which LaJoie will represent FitzBradshaw Racing.
Jani-King has been a primary sponsor of FitzBradshaw Racing since 2002 and the company has renewed its primary sponsorship with the team for the 2004 season.
"We are thrilled to have a veteran driver like Randy drive one of our cars," stated FitzBradshaw Racing co-owner Armando Fitz. "FitzBradshaw Racing will be fielding three cars in Phoenix and by having such an experienced driver mix with Tim Fedewa and Casey Atwood we should prove to be very competitive."
LaJoie has competed at Phoenix International Raceway four times in his Busch Series career. All four have resulted in top-twenty finishes. Last November, LaJoie sat on the outside pole.
"I'm thrilled to be in the driver's seat for FitzBradshaw Racing's No. 82 Jani-King car," stated LaJoie. "Armando has been building a strong operation that has made a positive impact in the Busch Series and I'm looking forward to being apart of that momentum."
FitzBradshaw Racing is owned by NASCAR veteran Armando Fitz and Pro Football Hall of Fame member and FOX broadcaster Terry Bradshaw. The team fields three cars in the NASCAR Busch Series: the No. 12 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, sponsored by Supercuts, Jani-King and Hot Tamales; the No. 14 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, sponsored by the Navy; and the No. 82 Chevrolet Monte Carlo sponsored by Jani-King.
The team fields the No. 83 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, sponsored by Supercuts, Hot Tamales, and Aaron's Rents, for selected Winston Cup races.
