Dream A Little Dream...The annual trip to Indianapolis means more to Stanley driver Tim Fedewa than many of the trips made by the NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division. Indianapolis is the mecca of motorsports history, and the trip always rekindles a secret desire for Fedewa - to drive in the Indianapolis 500. "The Indy 500 is the greatest race in the world," Fedewa said. "You know, I remember watching the Indy 500 as a kid and dreaming that it was me in that car. The speed. The adrenaline. What those guys do in that race is amazing. "It's always been a dream of mine to drive at the Brickyard in the Indy 500. Several people have gone between open wheel cars and stock cars, so I'm not giving up on that childhood dream just yet. You never know what might happen."
Short Track Success ... As a former short-track champion before moving to the Busch Series, it's easy to see why Fedewa loves the .686-mile Indianapolis Raceway Park. "I have had a lot of good luck at IRP, and I have come close to getting in victory lane a couple of times," he said. "I think that this year, I finally have the team and the car that can get me to victory lane."
If It Ain't Broken, Don't Fix It...The car unloaded by the Stanley team this week is the same No. 36 that Fedewa has driven in the past three races at Nazareth Speedway, Pikes Peak International Raceway and Gateway International Raceway. It's also the same car that Fedewa won with from the pole at New Hampshire in May. Who Wants To Be A Tool Winner? Scott Keith of TNN was the winner of the weekly "Who Wants To Be A Tool Winner?" Stanley Sweepstakes 2000 last weekend. Don't forget to pick up an entry form and guess where the No. 36 team will finish this weekend in Indianapolis.
