CASEY ATWOOD (No. 27 Castrol GTX Chevrolet Monte Carlo)
"He (Randy LaJoie) got a great jump on me (on last restart). It wasn't easy (to pass LaJoie) at all. We made a good call at the end. The car was getting a little tight on a long run. We got it loosened up some and it wasn't tight at all there at the end. I've got to thank the crew. They did a great job. They changed motors last night. We had a motor go bad, and they worked all night last night. We came here today, and I'm glad we got to win the race for 'em. I was a little worried at first (on last restart). He pulled a veteran move on me and got a good jump, but I knew we had a good car and had four fresh tires. I knew we could probably get to him. I didn't know if we were going to be able to pass him. Thank God for a great day, a safe day. I was able to stay out of all the wrecks. When a car would get up right behind me, the car would get a little loose. I knew I had to protect the low line. His car wasn't working well up high. Jeff Green's was early in the race, but I knew I just had to protect the low line, and that's what I did. The car was getting a little loose when he was on my bumper. I can't believe the way we've run all year. The way we started off at Daytona, we had a great run there. The year has just been like that. We've run great everywhere. We've had a lot of bad luck, but here in the second half of the season, our luck has really turned around. We're starting to win some races and some of my favorite tracks are coming up so hopefully we're not done yet."
