ELLIOTT SADLER No. 29 Team Monte Carlo

"We don't have a sponsor but we're here and we're on the pole and we came to win the race. We're going to represent Team Monte Carlo as a tribute to Chevrolet. This is (car owner) Gary Bechtel's way of thanking Chevrolet for its support of Diamond Ridge Motorsports. Out Monte Carlo is running real good. We planned to go out and scuff some tires for a few laps in the final practice and that's about all we needed to do. We ran awesome yesterday. Michigan is the only superspeedway I've ever run. I've never been here or Talladega. We tested a day at Daytona and three days at Talladega, but I never did any drafting at all. I ran 13 races last year so technically I'm not a rookie. I lost my rookie status but I wouldn't dare give give up the experience I gained last year for the rookie deal. It's no pressure on me this year. They want me to go to every track that I can and get all the experience I can. The outside groove has shown to be really fast here so far. I'd like to lead the first lap Saturday, but our goal is to run every lap we can and try to finish the race. We'll feel like we've had a heck of an accomplishment if we can do that on Saturday."

PHIL PARSONS No. 10 ChannelLock Tools Chevrolet

"We've got a good car, a car that will run well in traffic and that's the key to success Saturday. Daytona is important. it's the start of a new season, and everyone wants to get off to a good start. That includes us."

MIKE McLAUGHLIN No. 34 Royal Oak Charcoal Chevrolet

"Hopefully we'll have a good run. We're looking pretty good right now, but you just have to wait and see. The key at Daytona is finishing the race. If we can finish, we should be in good shape. I think both of our team cars will be up there. Teammate) Todd (Bodine) will be running up front also -- his car's running real stout."

BUCKSHOT JONES No. 00 Aquafresh Pontiac

"The biggest thing is patience. You get out of line and you're going straight to the rear. You've got to be patient. I think we're going to be good. Elliott Sadler has got a good chance. That car he's driving has won at Daytona and Talladega. Nemechek always seems to run good here, so does McLaughlin. I don't know, I think there's a lot of favorites out there. A lot of drivers have a chance to win this race. If the cards fall right for you and you can stay out of trouble, you've got a shot at winning the race. I don't rate my chances for winning from a driver's standpoint. I'm confident because of our Pontiac and the way it handles. I've got a gret team behind me. The car is comfortable. Here, you've got to play your cards right. You don't need to make unintelligent moves. If you stay in line anybody's got a chance of winning it. I think we have a chance to win it, too."

STEVE PARK No. 3 ACDelco Chevrolet

"My first goal is to finish, and the higher the better. It may seem unrealistic for a rookie to think he can get a top-10 finish, but that's what car owners) Dale and Teresa (Earnhardt) expect. That's what I'm going to try and deliver. Dale isn't a demanding boss, but he's given me a whole lot of confidence and I want to go out there and reach the goals we've set for this team. Everything has gone well so far. We know we need to change some things, and we're fine-tuning on it a little bit right now. This Chevrolet Monte Carlo is real good in the draft. We're getting pretty fast and it's real smooth. We're looking forward to Saturday and seeting what we can do out there. If we didn't think we could win, we wouldn't be here. It's going to be tough to win. A lot of real fast cars are in the race. We're just going to try to stay out of trouble and be around at the end. If we can just do that, maybe we'll be in position to make a run for it."

RANDY LAJOIE No. 74 FINA Chevrolet

"I can't wait to strap myself into the FINA Monte Carlo prepared by BACE Motorsports, a race team that has won back-to-back Busch championships. I think we're goint to have a great day. I'm looking forward to it. I enjoy the drafting part of it. I hope we'll get some guys to work with us and we'll have some fun."

TRACY LESLIE No. 63 Lysol Pontiac

"We've got an awfully good car. All we have to do is keep it under control and keep me under control. The car's stable, it's fast by itself and it's able to pass with just a little help. As good as it is, if I can keep my head screwed on we can stay up front all day long."

HERMIE SADLER No. 1 DeWalt Industrial Tools Chevrolet

"We're still working on getting the car comfortable enough to run good. The key is getting the car comfortable so you can run wide open all day. You've also got to be patient. I think a Busch Series regular will win - - hopefully a Sadler. Either one would be fine."

TODD BODINE No. 36 Stanley Pontiac

"We should be in pretty good shape. We didn't run too good on Thursday afternoon -- we changed a gear and it was definitely not the right way to go. The car is handling good and driving good and that's the important thing to be able to race here. It's going to be who wants to help who and who gets stuck out of the draft and how you work the draft. Experience is going to be the key, nowing when to do things right in the draft. But experience isn't going to be all of it. If you make the right move and somebody decides they're going to leave you hanging by yourself. you're done.

JEFF GREEN No. 8 Diamond Ridge Chevrolet

"It's the best car I've ever had here and a great crew. It's a great package so we're looking forward to Saturday. We're up front and hopefully we can stay up front. I'd like to see the thing go green. It would benefit us. When you get 20 to 30 cars in a line you can go from first to 30th real quick."
