, No. 38 Great Clips Toyota Camry, Braun Racing:
Starting Position: 2nd Qualifying Lap: 49.023 (183.597 mph)
On his qualifying run:
"It was pretty good. The Great Clips Toyota is fast, second quick right now, so ho pefully it can hang on there. It is a great first outing for everyone here at Braun Racing, Great Clips and to be associated with Toyota. It would have been nice to get the pole but we have a fast race car and I'm looking forward to tomorrow."
On his Toyota Camry's handling at Daytona:
"It runs great and feels great. It runs good and has a lot of horsepower. It is going to be a good year for us all. I'm just glad to be associated with Toyota and having the sponsorship of Great Clips on again this year. We have all these guys working real hard at the shop."
On working with Toyota:
"Working with Toyota is definitely going to help us through the entire season. It's pretty exciting for me and the whole team. Everybody has been working really hard back at the shop. They've had a long winter and we've had some changes over the past couple months that put them behind with the third car. We definitely have a car that can run up front tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it and I know it's going to be exciting."
On expectations of the Toyota Camry entering this season:
"Definitely, Braun is an established team and they have been around for awhile. We were pretty good last year and with the stuff that Toyota has brought whether it's horsepower or engineering help. It is helping Braun Racing get to the next level and we think it will help us to close the gap between the bigger teams and the smaller Busch-only teams. We're just real excited and look for good things tomorrow, both (Dave) Blaney and (John) Andretti were really strong too and we all drafted really well together. Obviously there's going to be a lot of trouble tomorrow, but if we can stay out of that and be there at the end it may put us in a position to win. We'll be in good shape."
