HUNGRY DRIVERS RACING NOTES & QUOTES:
In his fifth career NASCAR Busch Series start, Tracy Hines drove the No. 6 Country Crock® Dodge Charger to a 19th place finish last weekend at The Milwaukee Mile.
Wallace Hoping To Repeat at Daytona International Speedway
Wallace is the defending race winner of the Winn Dixie 250. In 2004, Wallace won the event driving the No. 4 entry for Biagi Brothers, giving the team their only victory of the season. Wallace hopes to repeat the feat this weekend in Daytona and give Evernham Motorsports and the Unilever Foods sponsoring brands their first victory.
Three Wins at Daytona International Speedway
Wallace has posted wins in three different series at Daytona including the 1994 ARCA event, the 2000 NASCAR Craftsman Truck event and the 2004 (July) NASCAR Busch Series event.
Wallace on Daytona International Speedway
"Daytona is a very special place for me. I have won in three different series at Daytona, including my first major stock car win, the ARCA race in 1994. In 2000, I won the inaugural Daytona NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race and one year ago this weekend the NASCAR Busch Series race. I love racing at Daytona. I love the track, the speed and the challenge of being in the draft. It is just fun to race there. I look forward to going back this weekend and defending my title as last year's race winner. I would love to do it again and be able to give Ray Evernham and Unilever Foods their first NASCAR Busch Series win."
Ray Evernham on Mike Wallace
"Mike Wallace has helped the team through some tough tracks this year. His experience helped us mature our young team and learn valuable information to improve the performance of our Dodge Chargers. As the defending race winner, we know Mike will put the No. 6 Hungry Drivers Dodge in contention for the win at Daytona."
Wallace will compete with chassis No. 18 in this weekend's Pepsi 300 n Daytona. This is the same chassis the Hungry Drivers team has competed with in both restrictor plate races this season. In Daytona Paul Wolfe qualified third and finished 26th and in Talladega Kasey Kahne qualified 9th and finished 31st.
Hellmann's® mayonnaise will serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 6 Dodge Charger in this weekend's event.
