* 2003 NASCAR Busch Series Champion, Brian Vickers, makes his return to the series in Friday night's running of the Winn-Dixie 250. Vickers will pilot the No. 32 Ft. McDowell Resort Destination Toyota Camry. Vickers last Busch Series race was the Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in November of 2006. This is the first time he has driven for Braun Racing owner, Todd Braun. Competing in Nextel Cup competition in the No. 83 Red Bull Camry, Vickers is looking forward to the opportunity to jump behind the wheel of another Camry in the Busch Series.
* There is no doubt Vickers knows what it takes to maneuver the mentally grueling restrictor plate racing of Daytona International Speedway (DIS). In Busch Series competition, he has logged five starts at DIS, capturing one top-five and two top-10 finishes. In his last Daytona outing in July 2006, Vickers started fifth and finished second. This time he's focused on the number one finishing position and his first Daytona International Speedway trophy. Vickers has had success in restrictor plate racing. In 2006 he claimed his first Nextel Cup Victory at Talladega Superspeedway.
* Vickers and the No. 32 Braun Racing team welcome sponsor Ft. McDowell Yavapai Nation of Arizona for the Winn-Dixie 250. The No. 32, dubbed the "Yavapai Pride" Camry, will carry a special paint scheme as a tribute to the basket-making techniques of the Yavapai tribe. The handmade baskets were used for carrying, storing, winnowing and roasting in pre-reservation times and became an excellent source of income for the tribe after European contact. Keeping the tradition alive, members of the Yavapai reservation at Ft. McDowell are still producing the baskets today.
VICKERS ON RACING AT DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY:
"I'm looking forward to this opportunity to drive for Braun Racing. It was important to race a Toyota and with their support, Braun has been running really well this season, so I'm confident that the car they are putting together for me will be just as competitive. We appreciate Team Red Bull's cooperation and the support Braun receives from the Ft. McDowell Resort Destination. I'm just ready to get back behind the wheel of a Busch car. We're not racing for points, just wins!"
