debut driving the No. 37 Red Man Chevrolet in the NAPA Autocare 200 at Nazareth Speedway. The driver of the No. 96 Caterpillar Chevrolet in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series has two previous truck series starts, with his career best finish, ninth, coming at the Phoenix International Raceway in 1995. "I'm really looking forward to another visit to Nazareth Speedway," said Green. "Between the beautiful five turn track, the courteous staff and all the race fans, it's truly a wonderful weekend." Green has enjoyed much success on the one-mile speedway. In five NASCAR Busch Series starts at Nazareth, he's scored two poles (95, 96) and finished in the top five in each start (91, 93-96). "From the first time I ran my first lap at Nazareth, it has always been one of my favorite tracks," said Green. "A big part of the David Green Fan Club is made up of folks from Pennsylvania. I'm really happy to be coming back to Nazareth." With the NASCAR Winston Cup Series enjoying a weekend off, Green is taking this opportunity to assist Brewco Motorsports in launching its NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team. "This is an exciting chance to help the Brewco Motorsports truck team get established in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series," said Green. "(Team owner) Clarence Brewer, Scot Walters and all the folks at Red Man have really bent backwards to make this possible for me. Hopefully, we can get the Red Man truck up front and run with the series regulars. There is nothing better to do on an off weekend than go truck racing." Racing at Nazareth Speedway marks the third consecutive race in which Green has competed at a Penske Motorsports owned facility. In NASCAR Winston Cup Series competition, he competed at the Michigan Speedway two weeks ago and in the inaugural event at the California Speedway last week. "Mike Moorehead, Gene Haskett and everyone with Penske Motorsports always welcomes you with open arms," said Green. "It's a first-class and very polished facility." Located in Central City, Kentucky, Brewco Motorsports will enter eight NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events in 1997 with David Green, Mark Green and Scot Walters alternating driving duties.
