Jason Keller Notes:
* Jason Keller jumped to fifth in the NASCAR Busch Series championship standings after his fifth-place finish at Las Vegas. It was Keller's second consecutive top five after his 27th-place finish in the season opener at Daytona.
* Keller is still looking for his first win at Darlington Raceway. Keller has captured three top fives and seven top 10s, including a second-place finish behind Jeff Burton last fall.
* Keller's first trip to Darlington came as a spectator in 1985 at the age of 15 with his father Joe. The two were on their way to a go-kart race near the track when Keller's race was cancelled. They took a detour to the infield of Darlington Raceway and watched Bill Elliott win $1 million.
Jason Keller Quotes:
Conquering the Lady in Black... Keller will be making his 20th start at Darlington Raceway on Saturday. He has finished in the top five in three of the last four races at the South Carolina track and hopes to capture his first career Busch Series win at Darlington this weekend.
"We have consistently been one of the best cars, aside from Jeff Burton, in the past few races at Darlington," said Keller. "So I don't think we need to re-invent the wheel to take our success one step further to win the race. I know the track is tough, I know the track is slick and I know it's tough to find grip. We need to continue to build off our success at the track and carry the momentum of the last two races with us this weekend.
"My teammate Scott (Riggs) tested at Darlington a few weeks ago and had all three of our engineers at the test. They were able to gather some very useful shock data from Scott's test. We've been testing at Nashville this week and our test should prove to be very valuable, even for a track like Darlington. We've had very limited practice at the two downforce tracks this season due to rain so our test session was the first full practice we've had a track besides Daytona to get the Albertsons Ford balanced."
Where does Darlington rank in Keller's list of things to accomplish in racing?
"To win at Darlington would mean as much to me as winning Daytona," said Keller. "Since Steve (crew chief Steve Addington) and I grew up in South Carolina, we watched natives like the Pearsons and Cale Yarborough consistently win at Darlington. It would mean so much to me, Steve and our family and friends to make the trip to victory lane and show a little South Carolina pride."
