TALK AB OUT THE RACE TODAY. "It went good for us. We knew the 9 car was going to be strong. He was extremely strong in the spring, so we knew he was going to be tough. With no practice and with us not really being tied to a Winston Cup team to be able to go off of the notes and the things that they learned in practice, I thought we did a fantastic job. We got our car better on the first pit stop there. We had a really good day. It's really bad for the fans that they didn't get to see an entire race, but NASCAR can't control the weather. The Albertsons Ford started up front, and just stayed up there and did all we could do. I really wasn't trying to race anybody, just trying to race the race track, and it seemed like we had a real good day."
TALK ABOUT BEING IN SECOND WHEN THE RED FLAG CAME OUT. "Anything can happen if we go back to green. I've really, really tried to stick with my motto this year that I'm only going to worry about the things I can control and if we go back to green or stay red, I can't control that. Sure, as a competitor, I would have loved to have raced him head-to-head, and tried to have gotten my race car better and tried my hand, but we didn't. I just can't say enough about what we did. If you look at the top five and they're all either Winston Cup drivers or linked to Winston Cup teams and they had laps on the race track today. At ppc, we had zero. For what we did as a race team, to be able to run as strong as we did, it just shows how good of a race team that we've got."
