David Green Confident About Busch Series Finale: Saturday's HotWheels.com 300 NASCAR Busch Series race marks the season finale and David Green, driver of the No. 34 AFG Glass Chevrolet Monte Carlo, has been training' heavily for the 200 lap event. Green tested his Cicci-Welliver Racing owned machine on Wednesday, October 11 at the 1.5-mile circuit and also attended a test session with the No. 24 team with driver Ricky Hendrick on October 30 and 31. "I tested at Homestead with my car and I also went with Ricky Hendrick's team to their test there," said Green. "We both ran fast enough to be on the front row. I think anything other than a pole and a win would be a disappointment." The Owensboro, Kentucky native sat on the pole for last year's inaugural Pennzoil 400 NASCAR Winston Cup event, a milestone which has added to his confidence going into Saturday's event. "Sitting on the pole last year has definitely added to my confidence for this race," said the 1994 Busch Series Champion. "We tested well and I have had good luck at this track. I'm confident we can end the 2000 season on a positive note."
